The Swift Moselle lodge has appeared in many incarnations over the years but I think of all the ones that have been produced, this is the best( and that includes the 2024 models !!) It is well designed , incorporating everything you want from a holiday home but still retaining an airy feel with no clutter giving that overall feeling of space ! Even though this holiday home is nine years old it has been lovingly looked after by its owner and is in tremendous condition. Coupled with the fact that it is in probably one of the primary positions in the Lakes, this is a definite must see !!
The Moselle consists of a large main bedroom with a queen sized bed with storage underneath , two bedside tables, overhead storage, two by large wardrobes and a beautiful vanity unit with stool and additional shelving. There is an en-suite bathroom with WC, bath, large shower, basin and bathroom cabinet. The second bedroom consists of twin beds with a shared bedside table, further overhead storage, one large wardrobe and a vanity unit. The main family bathroom consists of a second WC, basin with cabinet over, and a large family shower.
Moving into the living quarters of the Lodge there is the dining area which consists of a large rectangular dining table and four chairs with cloth seating. When moving into the kitchen you are struck by the large workspace area with plenty of drawers and cupboards for storage underneath. There is a four hob gas cooker with extractor above and a grill and oven . There is a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave in fact everything you need for those long stays at Wayside !!
The lounge area is enormous and has beautiful wrap around seating that can seat six people comfortably(It also comprises the pull out bed). In addition there is a coffee table with two seats cunningly hidden within the table, a TV station and further display cabinets for glasses etc, along with a decorative electric fire. At the far end of the lounge there are the large patio doors which lead out onto the vast veranda which gives great views up the Lakes. The veranda has room for a large seating area and dining table for that very important al fresco dining so loved by our Wayside residents.
