The Swift Edmonton Lodge at 40′ x 20′ is probably one of the finest lodges on the market at the moment built to the latest residential specification(BS3632). Although only installed on the park in 2022 the owner has reluctantly decided for health reasons, to put it up for sale ready for the start of the 2024 season. This is a magnificent holiday home situated at the top end of the Lakes adjacent to the dog walking field, in a very private area on a large detached plot surrounded by mature shrubs and trees with great views looking up into the “foothills” of the North York Moors. It is enclosed on two sides by an enormous glass surround verandah which is 10′ out from the lodge with a 30′ frontage and a 10′ wide walkway down to the side entrance making the most of the sunshine, from sunrise to sunset as an out door living space. At the side entrance there is a glass gate and steps down to the large car park catering easily for two cars.
On entering the Edmonton, you have a short entrance hall with a utility room on the right comprising the boiler and washing machine plus storage for coats, shoes etc. Turning right toward the rear of the lodge there is the first of the twin rooms comprising of 2 x 3′ beds with wardrobe and drawers, vanity unit and bedside table. Next to this is the second twin room comprising of exactly the same as the first. On the opposite side to the twin rooms is the family bathroom. This is vast, with a large bath and shower overhead, a WC and tasteful shelving for towels etc.
Moving to the rear of the Edmonton there is the enormous master bedroom consisting of a king size bed with extra thick Duvalay ortho high quality mattresses for greater comfort, bedside tables and a fashionable coloured headboard. There is a large vanity unit opposite with storage pods either side and a space for a TV if required. At right angles to the bedroom and as part of the passageway to the en-suite are large wardrobes and storage shelving. The en-suite consists of a large shower with a further WC and basin with a modern surround of shelves and further storage space.
At the front of the Edmonton is the large open plan living area consisting of the kitchen, dining and the lounge area which all have access to the verandah through two sets of patio doors. The kitchen is beautifully designed and has everything you would expect from a modern kitchen .It has a large fridge freezer, built in microwave, a four hob gas cooker with oven, grill and overhead extractor and a dishwasher that is built in under the worktops. The worktops are extensive with plenty of storage space, along with the kitchen island which has two high stools for comfortable seating at kitchen height. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and consists of a large rectangular dining table and six cloth covered dining chairs. Next to the dining table is a side board for further storage.
The lounge area of the Edmonton is substantial in size and comprises two full size sofas(one a sofa bed for additional occasional guests) comfortably seating six if required . There is a large footstool and TV station in the corner of the room with the additional choice of hanging the TV on the wall and there is also an electric fire in the form of a cunningly disguised wood burner for additional heating. The living room also benefits from a ceiling mounted Bluetooth speaker system and a wireless programmable thermostat for lodge temperature control.
