I think we can safely say here at Wayside that the ABI Ambleside is probably one of the finest holiday homes on the market today. This is exemplified by the fact that we have six of these around the park and it is very rare that one used example actually comes up for sale. But here it is ! The first thing to say is this is in beautiful condition and has been lovingly cared for by the present owners, belying the fact it is nearly five years old. Beautifully designed and manufactured by those clever people at ABI they have spared no expense in using top materials giving that feeling of luxury and sophistication.
The main bedroom is a dream ! It consists of a king size double bed with storage underneath. There is a large vanity unit with mirror and stool and also a TV for bedtime watching !! Beside the bed there are two bedside tables and a beautiful padded headboard. There is a small bench seat and opposite that there is a large wardrobe and two drawers providing plenty of storage space.
This leads into the en-suite bathroom consisting of large shower, WC and basin with a mirrored cabinet above and basin cabinet below. The second bedroom has 2 x 3′ beds with a shared bedside table and drawers. Again there are two beautiful padded headboards over the beds and a vanity unit with stool.
In between the bedrooms and the living area there is a good sized entrance hall with a long mirror and a seat to allow the removal of shoes, muddy boots etc. Off the hall is the door for the large family bathroom with a further shower, wc and basin and additional storage cabinets.
Moving into the main living area , we have the kitchen area consisting of a one and half kitchen sink with the dishwasher installed below it and to one side. We have a built in fridge freezer, microwave, grill and oven and a five ring gas hob with centre ring for a Wok etc. Incorporated into the kitchen is the dining area consisting of a large rectangular dining table and four cloth covered chairs. There is plenty of worktop space under which, in one area is the washing machine.
The lounge has a three seater and a two seater settee, providing very comfortable seating for friends and guests, there is a large footstool with storage inside, there is also a log effect electric fire, a TV station, a mirror over the mantelpiece and loads of extra storage. At the end of the lounge there is a panoramic window incorporating the sliding patio doors which lead out onto the large glass surround veranda with a magnificent view looking east down the lake . The veranda is more than large enough to accommodate a table and chairs to provide the essential al-fresco dining so beloved by Wayside owners ! The veranda then goes down the side of the Lodge through the glass gate and descends to the parking area.
